(Reading, PA) – The Sea Dogs have lost four straight games in Reading, PA after a 10-5 win on Opening Night (April 8).
THAT MAKES FOUR: After a 10-5 win over the Phillies on Opening Night, the
Sea Dogs have lost four consecutive games at FirstEnergy Stadium…RHP Ryne Miller (1-3) suffered the loss,
yielding a team-high five walks on four runs (three earned) over 4.2 IP…LHP Yohan Flande beat the Sea Dogs for the
second time this season, surrendering only one run on six hits over 7 IP…LF Chih-Hsien Chiang and 3B Yamaico Navarro each had RBI’s for
Portland in the loss…RF Dominic Brown and
DH Matt Rizzotti each had 2-run
homers for the R-Phils.
MAY HE LIKE THIS MONTH: Chiang
is hitting just .184 (23-for-125) in 37 games, but is batting .246 (16-for-65)
in May with a homer and 10 RBI…RF Matt
Sheely ended an 0-for-24 drought by going 2-for-3 with a walk on
Monday…Navarro led off for the first time this season, and picked up his
