Makes you think about what’s important
On Wednesday morning, the Portland Sea Dogs held a press conference for the Maine Children’s Cancer Program, announcing this year’s Slugger Kid – Mitchell Hopkins. This year is the 17th season of the program, which has raised over four million dollars. For every strikeout by a Sea Dogs pitcher, a donation is made by TD Bank, Anthem and News 8 WMTW. I’d also to recognize all the generous donations by individuals of all ages, and many corporate donations. The Sea Dogs’ pitching staff attended today’s press conference, and just made the day of Mitchell. These days really make you think about what’s important in life. I was honored the Sea Dogs asked me to be a part of it.
