BRENTZ BLASTS ‘DOGS TO DOUBLEHEADER SWEEP OF ‘CATS: GAME 1: Bryce Brentz hit two home runs and collected four RBI, in the Sea Dogs doubleheader sweep of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats…Portland trailed the ‘Cats 3-1 heading into the bottom of the 7th but Brentz and Dan Butler hit back-to-back homers to tie the game and send it into extra innings…Reynaldo Rodriguez hit a leadoff triple to begin the eighth and Brentz brought him, and the win, home with a single to right…Chris Carpenter started the game for the Sea Dogs and continued his MLB Rehab stint…He tossed the first two innings and allowed a run…Chris Balcom-Miller and Chorye Spoone gave up a run over six combined innings of relief…GAME 2: Bryce Brentz delievered a two-run shot in the bottom of the third to put the ‘Dogs up 3- 1…They would go on to win by that same margin…Jeremy Kehrt snapped a personal three- game losing streak with five strong innings..He allowed just one run.
