The Sea Dogs and Harrisburg Senators shift their four-game series to Fenway Park on Saturday afternoon beginning at 12:00 PM for the 8th Annual Futures at Fenway.

AMERICA’S MOST BELOVED PARK: The Sea Dogs and Harrisburg Senators (Nationals affiliate) shift their four-game series to Fenway Park in the 8th Annual Futures at Fenway on Saturday afternoon…Portland has dropped the first 2 games of the series and trails the Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) by two games for the second playoff spot in the Eastern Division…Harrisburg has won four straight, and holds a three-game lead over the Erie SeaWolves for the top spot in the Western Division.


FINAL AT-BAT WIN: Harrisburg scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to beat the Sea Dogs 7-5 on Friday night…CF Brain Goodwin had the game-winning RBI, launching a leadoff homer against losing pitcher Bobby LaniganJason Martinson (3 RBI) knocked in the final run with a run-scoring fielder’s choice…Destin Hood knocked in two runs with a triple and a double…Derrik Gibson led Portland’s offense, going 2-for-4 with three runs scored…Michael Almanzar, Ronald Bermudez and Garin Cecchini had RBI’s for the ‘Dogs…Starter RHP Mike McCarthy tossed six innings, giving up nine hits and five runs.

FENWAY HISTORY: Portland is making their fourth appearance at Fenway Park, going 2-1 in previous Futures at Fenway games with wins over Harrisburg and Bowie (Orioles affiliate)…Portland beat the Senators 12-11 on August 11, 2007, thanks to Jay Johnson’s, walk-off two-run doubleOn August 9, 2009, Jason Place blasted a two-run homer over the Green Monster, and finished with 3 RBI in Portland’s 3-2 win over Bowie…On August 20, 2011, the Binghamton Mets grabbed a 6-4 win in 11 innings…Milton Mass native Alex Hassan hit a two-run homer to centerfield.

NEARING THE END: The Sea Dogs are 11-15 in July, hitting .233 with a 3.93 ERA…RHP Keith Couch is the lone pitcher with two wins and makes his 10th start of the season this afternoon…Portland has earned four saves from four different pitchers: Lanigan, Eric Niesen, Rafael Perez and Noe Ramirez…Ramirez is scoreless in his last three outings, earning his first Double-A save in the series finale in New Britain.
