BACK HOME: The Sea Dogs open up a three-game series on Tuesday night against the New Britain Rock Cats (Twins affiliate) at Hadlock Field…Portland returns home after taking three of four in New Hampshire over the Memorial Day weekend…The ‘Dogs need one more win this month to clinch the best May in franchise history (2003 team won 19 games in May)…Portland has not been 19 games over .500 since 2006 when they were 47-28…LHP Mickey Pena fanned a career-high 11 batters on April 18th at New Britain.

BYE, BYE BLAKE: C Blake Swihart snapped a 3-3 tie with a two-run homer in the sixth inning, giving the Sea Dogs a 6-3 win over the Fisher Cats on Monday afternoon at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium…RHP Steven Wright (MLB Rehab) tossed five strong innings on five hits and three runs (two earned)…RHP Keith Couch closed out the game with four scoreless innings on one hit to earn his first Double-A save…Swihart finished with 3 RBI, C Matt Spring went 4-for-4 and 1B Mike Brenly added an RBI double…LF Peter Hissey went 2-for-4, extending his season-high hitting streak to six games.

TIED A CAREER-HIGH: Spring tied a career-high with four hits on Monday, both with the Sea Dogs…Last season, Spring went 4-for-4 on May 12th at New Britain…Portland had all three catchers in the lineup due to Travis Shaw’s promotion to Triple-A Pawtucket…Shaw went 1-for-3 on Sunday night in his Triple-A debut.

NUMBER 32: Wright became the 32nd Major Leaguer to rehab with the Sea Dogs and the 26th as a Red Sox affiliate…The knuckleballer earned his second career win with Portland in as many starts.

2-2-2: The Sea Dogs are second in the league in average (.289), ERA (3.34) and tied for second in team defense (.980 fielding percentage)…Portland’s bullpen did not allow a run over 10 IP in the New Hampshire series.
