TOP TWO TEAMS: Portland and Binghamton play game two of their four-game series on Tuesday night at NYSEG Stadium…Binghamton snapped a 5-game losing streak against the ‘Dogs with last night’s win…Portland and Low-A Savannah (Mets affiliate) can become the first teams in professional baseball to reach 60 wins…Binghamton University standout RHP Mike Augliera makes his second start of the season against the B-Mets (both at NYSEG Stadium).

POST 4TH FIREWORKS: The Binghamton Mets hit three homers, two by Travis Taijeron and beat the Sea Dogs, 11-4 on Monday night…Taijeron knocked home four runs, chasing LHP Brian Johnson (7-2) out of the game in the third inning after a three-run shot…Brandon Nimmo added a three-run homer off Michael Olmsted in the sixth…’Dogs Mike Brenly finished 2-for-4, 2 RBI and 2 doubles…Michael Almanzar (2-for-3), David Chester (2-for-3), and Derrik Gibson (2-for-5) added multi-hit games…RHP Cory Mazzoni (1-0) tossed five innings on three hits to earn the win in his season debut with Binghamton.

RANKING THE ‘DOGS: The Top 5 winning percentages (Full-Season Clubs) in Minor League Baseball: Low-A Savannah 59-26 (.694), Portland 59-30 (.663), Low-A Kane County 57-29 (.663), Low-A Greensboro 57-32 (.640), and High-A Bakersfield 56-32 (.636)…The Red Sox have the sixth best record as an organization the minors at 227-199 (.533).

ANOTHER WEEK, ANOTHER AWARD: The Portland Sea Dogs have won an Eastern League award in each of the past four weeks…Earlier today, Sean Coyle was named Eastern League Player of the Month for June…Johnson began the trend by winning Pitcher of the Week for the week ending June 16thDeven Marrero and Coyle followed with Player of the week honors…The Sea Dogs have tallied eight league awards, which ranks second in franchise history, behind the 1997 team (11)

THAT WAS THE MOST: Johnson allowed a career-high 7 earned runs last night in his 40th professional start…The loss was just the second for the lefty, his first loss was a 1-0 New Hampshire win on May 25th at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

COMPARED TO MOOKIE: Mookie Betts hit .355 with Portland – all in the lead-off spot…Gibson is hitting .323 for the season, but .375 (39-for-104) in 27 games batting first…Yesterday was his 20th multi-hit game of the season.
