I was at the hotel gym this morning when I found out the news about Mookie Betts…I can’t go five minutes without looking on my phone, and thanks to Twitter, I saw John Tomase’s tweet – he broke the story. This is just incredible to have someone who started this season with Portland, make it to the Majors. Just last year, Betts was playing in Low-A Greenville. Being here in Reading, Pa., I can’t help but remember how the season opened – Mookie leads off the year with a homer. Oh by the way, LHP Henry Owens pitched a six-inning no-hitter.
