Eastern League All-Star game in Reading, Pa…Brentz is the first player in franchise history with two 5-hit games…Hernandez is sixth in the league with a 2.87 ERA and Rodriguez leads the team in homers with 12.

SEEKING SPLIT IN HOMESTAND’S FIRST HALF: The Sea Dogs and New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays affiliate) wrap up their four-game series on Friday night at Hadlock Field…Portland picked up the win Thursday and look to salvage a split with a win in the finale…Tuesday night, the two teams duked it out for 13-innings and 4-plus hours…The longest game in both respects since 2009 for the Sea Dogs.

Off to Richmond, ‘Dogs continue their Western stretch

The Sea Dogs continue their six-game roadtrip on Friday night against the Richmond Flying Squirrels from The Diamond in Richmond, VA…Portland has lost five straight road games, and dropped the first three games of this trip to the Bowie Baysox…The ‘Dogs are 7-8 during a 21-game stretch against the Western Division...Tomorrow night the ‘Dogs open up a three-game weekend series in Richmond (Giants affiliate).
